Concrete sustainability ............................................... ................................................... ...............................................

Concrete is the most widely used building material in construction. The environmental impact of the production of concrete, if not managed properly, can be relatively high. Careful selection of ingredients such as recycled aggregates, low-carbon cements, and renewable energy sources will help to significantly reduce the environmental impact of concrete. EcoReview have worked with several concrete manufacturers in the Netherlands and Ireland to develop sustainable concrete mixes, along with the production of Life Cycle Assessment data to support the certification of the reduced environmental impacts.
