EcoReview provided EPDs for an Irish manufacturer of low-carbon cements, Ecocem. These low-carbon cements are produced from a by-product of iron smelting, being ground granulated blastfurnace slag (GGBS). They are used as a replacement for cement in concrete, where GGBS can significantly reduce the environmental footprint of concrete.
